ONE COMPASS

Social Media has undone the monopoly over knowledge by vested interests. But it has also opened a door to gibberish and ignorance posing as truth. Truth ultimately rests in the person of Jesus Christ. There is a compass that points in the direction of wisdom and a Light that is wisdom and light. He separates supposition from the Gospel of Jesus and the apostles.
The Gospel of Jesus is simple and vital. Too simple for some who have been locked into an aberration as a way of life and that’s all they have. For those who have actually read the New Testament, it is revealed that the atonement and incarnation - the reconciliation of man to God is made actual in the person and achievement of Jesus Christ. This is ours by the Ministry of Holy Spirit who mediates the Oneness of God to us and the Church.
Since by man came death by man came also the resurrection. This is the life of God mediated to you by Christ who joins us to Father, Himself and Holy Spirit.
It is Christ who mediates the belongingness of man to God and Christ who mediates the incarnation of God in man so that we are united to Father in the spirit of sonship and nurtured as daughters and sons in the communion of the trinity. You are never alone in Christ.
CONSUMATE BEING
‘When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory’ Col 3.4 NIV. To exhibit your glory is to live as who you are - as a son/daughter of God. This is to say, you are becoming who you are by creation and by new creation in the Last Adam.
In Christ’s Gospel we are enfolded in God by the triune God. Not by the law or any effort of ours. The law is irrelevant to Kingdom Christians who are the expression of Christ by His Spirit in them.
JESUS AS YOU
It is Christ and no other element that imparts His life to us, graces us into His communion and transforms us into His likeness. Thus, Paul speaks of Christ our life and our appearing with Him in glory. Paul adds no other element but asserts that the entirety of our identity and emerging sonship is Christ expressed as us.
We are made one with God by the Christ of God and are made godly as a result of our participation in the divine nature. We participate by Christ in us. Godliness is not an abstraction. Godliness is the maturation of who we are as sons and daughters of God. True holiness is more than the absence of sin. It is growth into the limitless expression of a son/daughter of God. Your life in God is ultra-life. You are a son in the Son of God.
PARTICIPATING
Baptism is an excellent picture of this participation, in that we are immersed in the communion of God that is the trinity as a result of which we grow in the likeness of the sons of God.
Thomas Torrance writes, “It should now be clear that the oneness of God's being and act in the incarnation and the atonement once for all bridges the relation between man and God, history and eternity. Jesus Christ himself, God and man in his one Person, is the way, the truth and the life, and there is no other way to the Father.
THE NEW AND LIVING WAY IS CHRIST YOUR LIFE
“In him priest and sacrifice, offering and the offeror are one, so that he constitutes in himself the new and living way opened up for us into God's immediate presence… In him God has drawn near to us, and we may draw near to God with complete confidence as those who are sanctified together with Jesus, and who are included in his atoning self-presentation through the eternal Spirit to the Father. That is surely what it means for us sinners to have access to the Father through the blood of Christ and in one Spirit.” (1)
You are one with God by the One Spirit. Consequently, you progress into oneness with self and the ability to be one with others such as your wife, children, colleagues and church members. Community is much more than ‘people together.’ It’s people together in the oneness that is theirs in their oneness with the trinity. Genuine community comes by the Spirit in us; By the trinity in us and with us. The healing of marriages and the nations come by way of living the atonement and incarnation as the Living Way.
